Every Saturday and Sunday the College Of The Desert Alumni Association holds a friendly street fair (aka swap meet) in Palm Desert. Unlike most open-air markets of this kind, this is a fundraiser that benefits the college. The COD Alumni Association generously donates this event's proceeds to the college for student scholarships, financial aid, school projects and campus programs.

Bargains often include deals on golf items, so arrive early (we suggest-- 7 to 9 a.m. for additional savings) to find these, as well as to avoid the crowds who come later. Should you get hungry, breakfast and lunch booths serve a wonderful variety of fare. From whimsically painted childrens' clothing, to luscious handmade soaps, this is a great place to shop for gifts to take back to grand-kids, neighbors and pet-sitters.
